It's normal to get discharge at most any point in the month, as long as it doesn't have an unusual colour or strong smell.
If you are having these cramps and your period has been over for a week, is there a possibility they aren't connected to the cramps? It could be flu or a number of other things.
If you think the cramps, discharge, and your period could be connected, is there a chance you could have a sexually transmitted infection?
A doctor is the only one who can answer your question in the most appropriate way and offer advice to help you become more comfortable. While some degree of cramping might be normal throughout a period, it really does depend on you and your body.
If you've been having your period regularly for awhile and have never experienced these symptoms before, it's best to have a doctor check things out.
Best of luck.
