Can birth control affect whether I can have kids?
Is it true that if you start using birth control pills at a young age, it could lead you not having kids when you get older?

No, though you'll need to talk to a doctor about what form of birth control is best for you -and any possible long term effects it may have.

Some forms of birth control, like the implant, restore fertility as soon as they are taken out. Some, like the shot or pill, may take a few months to get you back up to your full fertility.

Your age might affect which form is best for you to take, so make sure to have a list of questions ready for your doctor about long term and short term effects of whatever they recommend.

You can also ask about non-hormonal forms of birth control.
