My period is changing. Am I pregnant?
For the past few weeks, I have felt nausea, heartburn, constipation, frequent urination, and mood swings, Me and my boyfriend are ttc.

I was pretty much conviced as well as my boyfriend that i was pregnant, but then i got my period. However it wasn't like my other periods, usually i get extreme cramps, and heavy bleeding as soon as it starts, but when it started this time it was really light, and got slightly heavier, it still isn't as heavy as i am used to.

I am 24 years old, could it just be my body changing or should i still take a test? Please help, i am extremely confused. Thank you so much

It's adviseable that you take a pregnancy test. If your periods always follow the same pattern of cramps and bleeding, then any big change is something you should take action on. The symptoms you've mentioned may or may not be related to pregnancy - it's unusual to get so many strong symptoms at the start of pregnancy, though not impossible. Many people who are trying to conceive (or who are trying to avoid it!) might be more quick to notice bodily issues than those without conception worries.

When you buy a home pregnancy test, be sure to carefully read the instructions enclosed. If the test is positive, you'll want to make an appointment with your doctor to confirm the results and get prenatal care.

If the results are negative, it might be worth making an appointment with your gyno to discuss your latest period and what it could be related to. She will also be able to give you detailed information on how to up your chances of conceiving.

Best of luck!
