The condom broke, but I'm using birth control.
I just had sex for the first time, and have been on birth control for about 2 years now. I asked my boyfriend to pull out before and he came and he did, then we noticed the condom was broke and i am about two or three days from getting my period. Do you think ill be fine?

THANKS

If you have been using birth control properly, that highly decreases the chances that you could be pregnant.

I'm not clear whether your boyfriend pulled out before or after he came - pulling out is not a safe method of birth control. You guys are doing the best thing by using birth control for you AND the condom.

The most common reason condoms break is that they are not used properly. Always only use one condom. It is important to pinch the tip of the condom - the bit that is shaped funny. This gets rid of all the air, and will then catch sperm. If this is not pinched, the pressure of the sperm entering it at high speeds can burst it.

Chances are you are not pregnant - though if your boyfriend has had sex before, you may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted infection. Bear in mind that stress and worry will interfere with your period, so it may be a couple of days late.

If it does not come, you will want to seek medical advice. Best of luck.
